What to Expect during the Intensive In-Home Enrollment Process

Are you considering Intensive In-Home services for your child? Our blog will guide you through the intake process step-by-step, so you know exactly what to expect. From the initial phone screening to the required items you need to bring such as the insurance card or a list of medications. Stay informed and let us help ease any concerns you may have about starting this program.

Screening:

Please ensure your child’s Medicaid/insurance number is ready prior to our call as we will need to confirm your coverage.  During the screening process, you will be asked a series of questions including: demographic information, previous mental health history, reason(s) for services, etc. The screening usually lasts about 20 minutes or more, so please be sure to arrange time in advance, preferably in a quiet area so that all information may be gathered.

The Assessment:

After the screening, we will then schedule a time to complete an initial assessment. This is where you and your child will discuss your goals and needs in detail with one of our dedicated clinicians. From there, a personalized treatment plan will be created for your child.

The day of the assessment will start with both you and your child will  have at least 30 minutes  to sign all the intake paperwork. There are quite a few forms to sign, so please be patient through this process as it is important that we have all the required forms completed. During this time, a copy of the insurance card will be made and we ask that you please bring any current medication(s) that your child is taking, legal papers or previous psychological evaluations so that we may record this information. Please be advised that any additional guest(s) including foster or adoptive parents, are welcome to attend the assessment but only the legal warden/guardian is required to sign the intake paperwork.

Next Steps After the Assessment:

Throughout the intake process, we prioritize open communication and transparency with both clients and their families. You can expect regular check-ins and progress updates from our team as we work together towards achieving your desired outcomes.

Our goal is to provide high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each individual. So if you or someone you know is interested in starting Intensive In Home services, don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you every step of the way. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our intake process and we look forward to hearing from you.
